King’s works on paper unfold like a kaleidoscope – uniquely and skillfully she is interweaving different viewpoints and perspectives.
Being driven by the experience of practicing art as an unbiased communication between herself and the piece, King’s typical approach is rooted deeply in trusting the momentum of the process.
Therefore each tackled question deserves its own unique attention, approach and answers. Answers which are profoundly embedded in the questions themselves, as well as in the used materials.
Inspiration is initiated and fed equally by considering questions of form, weight, color and composition, and also by an honest interest in poetic qualities of found objects and everyday life.

Shortly, King’s process could be best described as a work of discovering—not unlike the unearthing
of gems and treasures from the soil while exploring uncharted territory. In this context, the repetition of the printing process relates to the removal of the layers of soil by the artistic tools of trust, trial, error and decisiveness.

Fair Impressions

I am excited to share our experience from our first participation in the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair – as the only European representative on site!
This event was not just a platform; it was an inspiring confluence of art and community. Amidst the creative exchange, we engaged in meaningful conversations and forged valuable new connections. The atmosphere was filled with a passion for the craft and the connections it fosters.
A quote from a hyperallergic review perfectly encapsulates the experience: “Brooklyn’s First Print Fair Puts Community Over Commercialism.” This philosophy resonated deeply with us and served as a powerful reminder of the importance of building connections, especially in a time when genuine community often takes a back seat.

I returned home feeling optimistic and inspired. This event not only strengthened our commitment to our work but also instilled hope for the future. I look forward to integrating these new insights into our projects and remaining an active part of this vibrant art community.

Thank you to everyone who made this incredible experience possible!
