Residency & Traineeship

Viadukt Edition Residency Program

The Viadukt Edition Residency Program is a studio residency program for female* artists 40 or older to create new work through exploration of printmaking with a focus on silkscreen. It is dedicated to increasing the visibility of women* artists and to helping women* artists get the resources they need to do their creative work.

The Program offers the unique opportunity to complete an important new body of work in collaboration with printers. Participants work independently, in a productive atmosphere alongside other contemporary artists. Artists from all disciplines are eligible to apply; print-making skills are not required, but some familiarity with the medium is recommended. Basic instruction in screen printing is available for participants. Technical assistance is not included in the program, but is available at additional cost. Applications are evaluated by a rotating committee of artists, critics, curators, and art professionals based on the quality of submitted artwork. One artist is awarded for the residency annually. Artists based in the Vienna area and without access to a studio space are encouraged to apply.
