We are delighted to host an advanced class with Magdalena Kreinecker @krnckr!
In the advanced classes we intensify our knowledge about printing techniques and appliances. These classes are held by guest artists and only takes place
2-3 times a year.
In Magdalenaâs class everything will be about the magic of Monotype: Structure, pattern and repetition: Experimental screen printing
Participants are invited to bring drawings or samples that are meaningful to them. The pieces they bring are the starting point for the development of a series of works in which each print is an original. The aim is to find a new composition of the original image content by dealing with the digital and analog pre-printing stage, as well as the manipulation of this via the intermediate stage of the binary code in the course days.
The work in the printing workshop is stimulating, productive and intensive. Previous knowledge of screen printing is very helpful, but not obligatory.
– Understanding of the connection between analog and digital printing techniques.
– Ability to manipulate and develop personal drawings and patterns.
– Practical experience in producing individual prints.
– Material is included
– Snacks, drinks and coffee on site
The class will take place September 27th (half day)- September 29th and will cost EUR 590.-
Looking forward to printing with you!
Magdalena Kreinecker has been teaching as a lecturer in the workshops for screen printing and intaglio printing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna since October 2021. In her artistic practice, Kreinecker deals intensively with the form of the multiple, the tension between original and copy and, above all, contemporary applications of printmaking techniques.
